DESCRIPTION:On December weekends and daily December 16 through January 1\, step into a Victorian Christmas past\, and see the site transformed by beautiful lights and natural décor.  Traditional nineteenth century decorations will adorn the 1890 Farm Manager’s House where you can take a self-guided tour. \nDip your own candle and enjoy the festive holiday tree and decorations that fill the Visitor Center and historic barn. Make a mini mince pie in the Learning Kitchen. \nToast s’mores at the outdoor fire pits and warm up with a steaming cup of hot cocoa or coffee\, available for purchase. Light adventure can be found on a snowshoe\, hike or cross-country ski around the snowy pastures\, weather permitting. \nOn the farm\, guests can meet our Jersey cows\, draft horses\, chickens\, sheep\, and goats in the barns. \nOn select days take an old-fashioned horse-drawn wagon or sleigh rides through the picturesque farmstead in winter\, conditions permitting. Sleigh rides will be offered December 8\, 10\, 19\, 21\, 28\, and 30. Rides are available on a first come-first serve basis and are $5 per person plus admission.  Rides are approximately 10 minutes long. \nChristmas shopping is a delight in the Museum Gift Shop where shoppers will find unique holiday gifts and Billings Farm cheese. (No admission required) \nNOTE: Billings Farm & Museum is closed on December 24th & 25th. \n

DESCRIPTION:Enjoy 1890s holiday traditions! Learn about the history of Wassail and step back in time in our authentically decorated farmhouse parlor. \nDip your own candle and enjoy the festive holiday tree and decorations that fill the Visitor Center and historic barn. \nWarm up by the outdoor fire with a cup of cocoa and s’mores\, available for purchase. Light adventure can be found on a snowshoe\, hike or cross-country ski around the pastures\, weather permitting. \nOn the farm\, guests can meet our Jersey cows\, draft horses\, chickens\, sheep\, and goats in the barns. \nHorse-drawn Sleigh Rides will be offered on Friday\, Dec. 8 and Sunday\, Dec. 10 from 11:00AM to 2:00PM\, conditions permitting. Rides are $5/person for ages 2 and up in addition to admission to Billings Farm & Museum. Rides are approximately 10 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at the Admissions Desk. \nEnjoy a warm cup of Wassail punch\, made from a mulled blend of citrus juice and spices\, available for purchase in the Billings Farm Learning Kitchen- no admission required. Christmas shopping is a delight in the Museum Gift Shop where shoppers will find unique holiday gifts and Billings Farm cheese. (No admission required.)

They’ll also dip a candle to take home and discover its significance as a source of light for long winter nights and many holiday celebrations\, including Christmas\, Hanukkah\, Diwali\, and Kwanzaa.
