DESCRIPTION:Join the Billings Bookworms! From July 12 through August 16\, kids ages 6-8 are invited to Billings Farm & Museum each week to read about and explore a farm-themed topic. This is not just a book club! There are activities and crafts each week and Bookworms get to experience all the site has to offer. \nBillings Bookworms Week 1: Out and About at the Dairy Farm  \n10-10:30 Book reading and exploration.  Bookworms will begin their day listening to an educator read Out and About at the Dairy Farm by Andy Murphy to learn about dairy farms just like ours! Our readers will choose a passage to write or draw about and share their creations with the group. \n10:30-10:45 Snack time. A snack will be provided by Billings Farm & Museum. Our educator will begin reading a chapter book called Good Dog: Herd You Loud and Clear by Cam Higgins and Ariel Landy\, which is about a young herding dog working to bring in the sheep.  \n10:45-11:30 Activity time. This week the Bookworms will head down to the dairy barn to milk a Jersey cow and make butter in a jar! \nLearn more about Billings Bookworms and complete the application form. \nBillings Bookworms is for kids ages 6-8 \nOne session: $25 per participant/$20 per BF&M member\n6-week Series: $125 per participant/$100 per BF&M member. \nSpaces are limited!

The art of grilling is easy to master if you know what to look for and how to best utilize your grill for different foods. Follow along with Chef Emery as she leads a class in which participants will learn how to prepare a delicious meal for friends and family entirely on a grill using fresh\, local ingredients including offerings from the summer garden. Whether you are a seasoned at-home griller or new to the game\, this class is perfect for all! DESCRIPTION:Join the Billings Bookworms! From July 12 through August 16\, kids ages 6-8 are invited to Billings Farm & Museum each week to read about and explore a farm-themed topic. This is not just a book club! There are activities and crafts each week and Bookworms get to experience all the site has to offer. \nBillings Bookworms Week 2: The Wartville Wizard \n10-10:30 Book reading and exploration.  This week Bookworms will listen to The Wartville Wizard by Don Madden and choose a passage they would like to write or draw about\, and Bookworms will have an opportunity to share with the group. \n10:30-10:45 Snack time. A snack will be provided by Billings Farm & Museum. During this break\, the educator will read a chapter from Good Dog: Herd You Loud and Clear by Cam Higgins and Ariel Landy\, which is about a young herding dog working to bring in the sheep. Each week we will continue reading from this chapter book until it is finished on the last day of the club.  \n10:45-11:30 Activity time. Today the Bookworms will head over to the National Historical Park across the street to learn about trees and the importance of our forests. \nLearn more about Billings Bookworms and complete the application form. \nBillings Bookworms is for kids ages 6-8 \nOne session: $25 per participant/$20 per BF&M member\n6-week Series: $125 per participant/$100 per BF&M member. \nSpaces are limited!
