An event every day that begins at 10:00 am, repeating until December 1, 2024
Since 2022, 6th and 7th grade math students at Piermont Village School have been creating barn quilts as part of their curriculum. The students choose from traditional geometric quilt patterns or create their own designs. Once they decide on a pattern, students use a grid to the create a small model to explore the pattern design and experiment with color choices. When the design is finalized, students practice math skills by scaling up their pattern to create the final design. The finished barn quilts are displayed on the outside of the school building until the students complete 8th grade and graduate from the school. Come see this beautiful display in our historic events barn.
This exhibition is included with admission.
Note: The exhibition will be closed to the public on Friday, September 27 for a private event.
