Join the annual tradition of Wassail Weekend in Woodstock, Vermont.

Begin with the festive wassailing of the Billings Farm orchard. Gather with us to take part in this age-old custom of singing to the apple trees and sharing bread and cider to chase away spirits and ensure a bountiful harvest in the year ahead.

Step into the charm of a Victorian holiday as the farm is beautifully transformed with twinkling lights and seasonal décor. Walk through the Historic Farmhouse, adorned in traditional 19th-century holiday trim, with Interpreters on hand to share stories and traditions of holidays past.

Learn about the history of Wassail and enjoy timeless activities like candle dipping, interactive butter-making, and apple tasting- including dried apples and homemade applesauce.

Warm up by the outdoor fire pits with a cup of cocoa, hot spiced cider, or coffee, warm Wassail Punch, a mulled blend of citrus juices and spices, available for purchase.

Enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh or wagon ride through the picturesque pastures on select days, weather permitting.

Before heading home, be sure to browse the Museum Gift Shop for unique, Vermont-made treasures, perfect for holiday giving.

Give thanks, share traditions, and learn together at A Family Thanksgiving on the farm.

Step back in time and explore a traditional Victorian-era Thanksgiving. This festive weekend is filled with history, hands-on activities, and seasonal fun for all ages. Visit the Historic Farmhouse to see, smell, and taste foods inspired by an 1890s Thanksgiving table, and roll up your sleeves in the Learning Kitchen to make and sample homemade pie crust.

Try your hand at a wool weaving craft and discover skills that helped farm families prepare for winter. Younger visitors won’t want to miss the sensory play stations designed just for them.

Gather to celebrate the changing season with harvest activities, delicious food, and fun for the whole family.

From scenic wagon rides to hands-on cider pressing, experience the quintessential Vermont foliage and festive spirit of fall on the farm! Enjoy harvest-themed activities all day including lively rounds of pumpkin bowling, sunflower seed harvesting, apple tasting, and natural dying demonstrations. Our youngests visitors won’t want to miss our hands-on sensory play area designed just for them.

The Harvest Celebration weekend would not be complete without seasonal treats! Enjoy apple cider donuts, hot cider, and pumpkin ice cream from the Farmhouse Scoop Shop, and be sure to taste Billings Farm’s award-winning cheddars!

Sip your way through Vermont’s thriving cider scene!

Join us for this special after-hours celebration of Vermont’s vibrant cider culture featuring tastings from some of the state’s top artisanal producers. Sample small-batch and limited-release offerings, meet the makers, and discover the craft, tradition, and innovation behind every pour.

This indoor event includes food available for purchase from local vendors.

Tickets: $25/person or $20/Billings Farm member.

Wander through the Farmstead Gardens and the vibrant Sunflower House, take a scenic horse-drawn wagon ride, and meet our animal ambassadors.  Enjoy lawn games for all ages and savor light refreshments featuring Billings Farm cheese.  To top if off, treat yourself to a complimentary scoop of ice cream from the Farmhouse Scoop Shop.

Explore three stunning gardens across Woodstock during this special community celebration. Discover the shared story of Billings Farm & Museum, the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park, and the Woodstock Inn & Resort’s Kelly Way Gardens- all part of the Woodstock Foundation and united in honoring the legacy of Mary and Laurance S. Rockefeller, whose commitment to conservation, sustainability, and heritage continues to shape Woodstock today.

Enjoy garden tours, tastings, live music, family activities, and inspiring programs across three of Woodstock’s most iconic gardens.

At Billings Farm, marvel at the Sunflower House, stroll through beautiful education gardens, and enjoy Garden Story Time, botanical dying, sensory play, and ice-cream making.

At Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park, join ranger-guided tours of the historic estate gardens, create mini bouquets from the cutting garden, and take part in hands-on activities.

At Kelly Way Gardens, explore the beautiful production garden that supplies fresh ingredients to the Inn’s restaurants and don’t miss the tomato tasting!

In tribute to Laurance Rockefeller’s legacy and lasting impact, Billings Farm & Museum will offer free admission to Vermont and New Hampshire residents on August 22, 2026. Please check in at the admissions desk to show a valid id.

Admission and programs at Kelly Way Gardens and the National Park are free of charge.

Enjoy a day of farm fun as restored antique tractors roar to life. Watch lively tractor parades, hop on a wagon ride, make crafts, play games, and more!

Stroll through the tractor-lined field and learn fascinating facts about each tractor’s history, make, and model from the exhibitors. Wave as the tractors parade around the site, then cheer on your favorite machines during the crowd-favorite “Slow Race,” where drivers shift into their lowest gear and put their skills to the test.

Young visitors can ride pedal tractors through an obstacle course, explore farm-themed sensory stations, create a tractor craft to take home, climb aboard a tractor-drawn wagon ride, and gather for story time about- you guessed it- tractors!
