Billings Backyard Workshop: Root to Fruit Apple Growing

Tap into your inner Johnny Appleseed and dig into the art and science of growing apples! Led by Henry Wiser, owner of Hackleboro Orchards and a seasoned apple grower with 38 years of experience, the session covers everything from starting to maintaining a home orchard. Topics include site selection and preparation, choosing varieties and rootstock, proper planting techniques, and post-planting care. Participants will gain valuable insights through a guided tour of the Billings Farm orchard. This workshop will provide participants with the knowledge and confidence to plant, grow and care for apple trees.
