Give thanks, share, and learn at Thanksgiving on the Farm, taking place Friday, November 28 – Sunday, November 30th, 10:00AM – 4:00PM
Travel back in time with us to celebrate Thanksgiving on the farm!It’s a weekend full of tradition, history, and hands-on fun for all ages. Step into the Historic Farmhouse to taste, smell, and see a display of foods from our 1890’s Thanksgiving table. Roll up your sleeves to make and taste pie crust in the Learning Kitchen.Try your hand at wool craft! Younger visitors won’t want to miss the sensory play stations designed just for them. Gather around the outdoor firepits with a cup of cocoa or a hot spiced cider while snacking on a locally made apple cider donut (available for purchase in the Gift Shop)!
Take a horse-drawn wagon ride on Friday, Nov 28, conditions permitting, from 11:00AM to 3:00PM. Wagon rides are included with admission.
Holiday Shopping in the Billings Farm & Museum Gift Shop
Do some early holiday shopping at the Gift Shop,located in the Visitor Center. Find the perfect gift for everyone on your list.Shoppers will find Vermont-made products like locally crafted pottery and hand-carved wooden items as well as Vermont specialty foods like maple syrup, Blake Hill preserves, and, of course, Billings Farm cheddars. For the younger ones on your list find a wide array of plush animal stuffies, children’s books, farm toys, clothing, and much more! Gift Shop purchases also support the organization’s mission, helping to sustain future programs, events, exhibitions, and the operations of the historic dairy farm.
