Enjoy a sweet taste of Vermont’s maple history with sugar on snow, children’s stories, crafts, and more for Magic of Maple, daily from Saturday, February 17 – Sunday, February 25, 10:00AM – 4:00PM.
Learn all about maple syrup traditions in Vermont, experience the beautiful farmstead in winter, and see sap running from tapped maple trees. Discover Vermont’s maple history through a curated display of photographs from the Top Acres Farm and historic maple sugaring items from the Billings Farm & Museum’s collection.
11:00AM and 1:00PM Meet a Jersey cow
11:30AM and 2:30PM Sample light and dark grades of syrup and learn about maple products
12:00PM Butter Program
12:30PM – 2:00PM Sugar on Snow demonstrations and samples, accompanied by Billings Farm butter cheddar and a pickle, a Vermont tradition.
2:00PM Children’s Story
3:00PM Daily Milking
HORSE-DRAWN SLEIGH RIDES
On February 18, 20, 22, and 25 from 11:00AM –3:00PM, guests can enjoy an old-fashioned horse-drawn sleigh ride through the beautiful farmstead in winter. Public sleigh rides can be purchased at the admissions desk and are $5/person ages 2 and up in addition to admission to Billings Farm & Museum.
