3:00pm & 5:30pm
Price: $15/person or $12/BFM member Where: Billings Farm & Museum Theater
2021 | 117 minutes | Rated PG-13
In his acclaimed debut as a filmmaker, Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson presents a powerful and transporting documentary—part music film, part historical record created around an epic event that celebrated Black history, culture and fashion. Over the course of six weeks in the summer of 1969, just one hundred miles south of Woodstock, The Harlem Cultural Festival was filmed in Mount Morris Park (now Marcus Garvey Park).
Reservations are strongly recommended for film series showings as seating is limited. Online and phone ticket sales close at noon on the Friday before the showing. Tickets may be available for purchase at the Ticket Desk on the day of the film if seating allows.
FILM SERIES SAFETY
In re-opening our theater to the Film Series, we will prioritize the health and safety of our guests. The theater has been upgraded with a MERV 13 filtration system. Film attendees are expected to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. We recommend that you provide your proof of vaccination in advance using our online form, to avoid a wait at the Ticket Desk on the day of the film. We will accept a vaccination card, photocopy of the card, or digital photograph of the card.
All guests will be required to wear masks at all times during film viewings in the Theater. We thank you in advance for your cooperation. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation this season and adopt additional safety precautions as necessary.
