Billings Farm offers fall and spring programs for Homeschool Groups. We anticipate offering an array of these programs as virtual experiences in the coming 2020-2021 school year. Contact us at 802-457-2355 to see which programs will be offered.

Homeschool Groups: Groups of any size may sign up for these programs. A minimum of 8 students must be registered to present the program. Maximum of 40 students.

Homeschool Program Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Homeschool groups are invited to explore more of the Farm & Museum after the program concludes at 2:00 p.m.

Fee: $5.00 per student. Vehicle drivers free; all other adults $5.00 each. Children of Billings Farm & Museum members $3.00. Vehicle drivers free; all other member adults $3.00 each. Recommended for ages 5 and up.

Season’s Eatings – Food Throughout the Year

Explore the history of seasonal eating, and how it has changed over the years. We will learn how technology, weather, and major events in history have impacted what people eat. We will spend time harvesting in the gardens and learning ways to make our food last through the year.

 

Spring on the Farm

Meet our calves and lambs and discover their important jobs on the farm. What special care do they need and who is responsible for them? What responsibilities did children on the farm have one hundred years ago?
