Where Christmas, Fun & History Meet!
Celebrate the Holidays
at Billings Farm & Museum
WOODSTOCK, VERMONT… Experience the traditions of a late 19th-century Vermont Christmas with a visit to the Billings Farm & Museum this holiday season. Christmas at the Farm will be featured December 4 & 5, 10, 11 & 12, and daily Dec. 18 – Jan. 2, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (closed Christmas Day).
Festive holiday trees and decorations will fill the Visitor Center and historic barn. Visitors can learn about a Victorian Christmas, experience the authentically decorated parlor of the 1890 Farm Manager’s House, and dip candles. Be sure to vote for the best staff-made gingerbread house on display beginning December 10. Don’t miss the to-scale 1890 Farm Manager’s House recreated in gingerbread in the Visitor Center lobby!
On the farm, guests can meet Jersey cows, draft horses, chickens, sheep, and goats in the barns. Visitors can gather around the fire pits and warm up with hot chocolate, coffee and s’mores, available for purchase. Light adventure can be found on a snowshoe hike along the Ottauquechee River, weather permitting.
Christmas shopping is a delight in the Museum Gift Shop where shoppers will find unique holiday gifts and Billings Farm cheese. Select items, including cheeses, are also available online at billingsfarm.org.
Kick off the holiday season with Chef Emery’s Holiday Gifts From Your Kitchen baking class live on Zoom, December 4 from 10-11:30. This class is part of the Billings Backyard Series and will step through recipes that are both delicious and easy to ship to family and friends. Register by December 1 at billingsfarm.org.
