Photography at Billings Farm & Museum
Have a special occasion and want the perfect setting for your photographs? Billings Farm & Museum is the place for you!
We strive for each guest experience to be memorable. Photography may be taken in public areas for personal, non-commercial use only. Portraiture requires special permission, application and fees.
Taking Professional Photos During Hours of Operation
Professional photographers must have written permission in advance. (see “How to schedule a photography session” below)
- All subjects must purchase an admission ticket (photographer is complimentary)
- Site fees: N/A for 2 subjects, $40 (3-5 subjects) $80 (6-8 subjects). All fees are one hour minimum and are in one hour increments.
- For groups larger than 8, a wedding or events pricing call 802-457-2355
- Hours of operation vary seasonally.
- Photographers and subjects may not occupy a space that will limit the access of other guests.
- Non exclusive use of the gardens and approved locations for photo sessions
- Failure to respect these guidelines may lead to removal at discretion of management.
Taking Professional Photos Outside of Hours of Operation
Professional photographers must have written permission in advance. (see “How to schedule a photography session”)
- Site fee: $50 (2 subjects), $100 (3-5 subjects), $150 (6-8 subjects). All fees are one hour minimum and are in one hour increments.
- For groups larger than 8, a wedding or events pricing call 802-457-2355
- Hours/time available: 8am-10am or 5pm-6pm on days Billings Farm is open to the public, or 8am-4pm on days that Billings Farm & Museum is closed to the public (hours vary seasonally).
- A staff member will greet you and escort you while on the property.
How to schedule a photography session:
1) Download and complete the Photography Request Form AND sign and date the Terms & Conditions
2) Prior to the date of the photo session (minimum of 72 hours): Email forms to info@billingsfarm.org.
3) You will receive a confirmation e-mail once the forms are received. Please note: sessions are not confirmed until both forms, site fee is processed (if applicable) and confirmation e-mail is received. Admission tickets are purchased day of photo session.

Groups larger than 8 people, weddings or events inquire directly at info@billingsfarm.org to receive pricing information.
All photo sessions are scheduled in one-hour increments and a one hour minimum.
NOTE: Billings Farm does not supply a photographer.
Small print: If you need to cancel or change your reservation you can do so by reaching out Monday- Friday, at 802-457-2355 or info@billingsfarm.org to receive a refund up to 24 hours prior to the photo session. Refunds are not given for cancellations the day of the session or no shows.
