The Upon This Land exhibit tells the story of Billings Farm and the surrounding lands in a comprehensive fashion. It looks at this land from the days of the Marsh family through the Billings and Rockefeller years up to the present day with the operation of the Billings Farm & Museum and the creation of the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park as a separate entity. The theme of responsible land stewardship is the overriding message as it is demonstrated in the people, the agricultural practices, and the other uses of the land.
This exhibit strives to tell the whole story from beginning to end. It complements the film A Place In The Land which can also be viewed on your visit to Billings Farm & Museum.
