Discover the joy and practicality of seed saving in this hands-on workshop. The session covers how to harvest, clean, and preserve seeds, as well as the importance of seed saving in preserving unique varieties. Participants will learn which crops are best for saving and how this practice can improve crop production and biodiversity. The workshop also includes a visit to the Farmstead Gardens to harvest seeds to take home. By joining this tradition, they will contribute to the future of gardening, perhaps even preserving a favorite heirloom tomato plant for seasons to come!
